This position is contingent upon Customer approval, funding, and/or position availability.
Amentum is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Construction Manager in the West Bank.
This position will be responsible for overseeing construction oversight of Palestine-based construction companies on behalf of USAID.
This will include overseeing Field Engineers/Inspectors that will verify works are meeting USAID program requirements.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide leadership and management of construction inspections.
Oversee home office project controls support for effective contract administration and communication.
Develop appropriate construction quality management systems to verify contractors are meeting contract requirements.
Engage with construction contractors particularly with regards to delivery concerns.
Ensure effective written communication and facilitate RFIs, submittals and invoices.
Ensure contractors follow appropriate site safety protocols.
Collaborate with local stakeholders to respond to program issues.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum educational requirement of a Bachelor degree;
At least 15 years of overall experience and previous construction management experience with activities of similar scope and complexity with specific experience with:
Experience working on development-related programs.
Arabic language is required.
Experience working on USAID programs and in the West Bank is preferred.
