We are looking for an Application Engineer to join our incredible team.
Our Application Engineers work closely with the SPIROL Sales Teams to understand a Customer's application and propose an unbiased technical solution which will meet the Customer's needs.
The focus is on bridging Customer specifications, cost, assembly, and/or quality needs with SPIROL's product vision and production capabilities.
After completing his/her primary responsibilities, the Application Engineer may also work on new product development and testing, or the generation of technical white papers.

As a SPIROL Application Engineer, your days will be spent:
Working as a technical subject matter expert to develop, document, and effectively communicate technical solutions which support SPIROL's brand and offers value to our Customers.
Influence SPIROL's manufacturing efficiencies and effectiveness by designing products that complement our production capabilities, vision, and expertise.
Own and is responsible for successfully executing the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process which includes engaging all necessary cross-functional team members.
Continuously assess and review applications looking for trends which could present opportunities (new product development) in a standardized approach.
Write technical application stories, technical white papers, and conduct technical seminars.
As assigned, support the advancement of other internal business unit initiatives.
A successful SPIROL Application Engineer is:
Knowledgeable of SPIROL products, proprietary equipment, tooling, and processes
A subject matter expert that takes ownership of an area of specialization within the team
A technical resource for assigned products manufactured in Connecticut, Ohio, Canada, Mexico, and the UK
Has in-depth knowledge of the design details associated with their products
Has the ability to prioritize their work schedule to complete projects on-time
Desires continued professional development

Recommended Qualifications:
BSME (Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering)
A track record of getting into the project details (academic or work related)
Experience or a willingness to learn project management
A desire to work in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in solid modeling (Solid Edge) software
Ability to travel to other SPIROL production facilities (Ohio, Mexico, Canada, UK) if required (<10%)
5+ years of experience is preferred but potential will not be dismissed
Verbal and written Communication skills

Salary Range: $65,000-$90,000/year
