Summary of Position: Works in support of facility operations at various customer sites.
Must be comfortable working at elevated heights.
Must be comfortable working outdoors in hot and cold environments and inclement weather.
Assists in fabrication, assembling, and installation of structures, equipment and machinery by performing the following duties.
Primarily operates saws, welds, grinds, and uses overhead cranes.
Painting, rigging, and material handling in the shop are also common.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Attend work on the scheduled established by the employer and without excessive absenteeism.
Must maintain professionalism while working on customer sites Operation of Fabrication tools and equipment; Band Saws, Drill Press, Power Shear, Milling, Press Brake, CNC Plasma Table.
Operation of Ironworker Operation of Overhead Cranes, Forklift, Aerial Lifts.
Ability to Stand, Twist, Bend, Kneel, Climb, Pull & Push greater the 75lbs, for long periods of time.
Knowledge of Basic Hand Tools; Tape Measures, Squares, Levels, Drills, Clamps, Hammers, etc.
Clean up material by grinding or chipping.
Move materials safely using the proper equipment.
Basic Blueprint Reading.
Watches out for the Safety of Co-workers.
Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Takes Direction from Shop Foreman and Managers without exception (Maintain a Positive Attitude) Maintains order and cleanliness of work area.
Checks own Work and meets Quality Requirements.
Takes initiative to improve skills which will allow for a more diverse skill set to perform multiple tasks throughout the manufacturing process.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and/or 12 months experience.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment: Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor and other employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
All applications necessary to adequately perform required tasks.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
