High Performance Medical Solutions (HPMS), is a global contract manufacturer for OEMs.
We specialize in manufacturing medical tubing and cable, which are mission-critical components in the surgical, vascular, endoscopy, and ultrasound device markets.
Our ISO Class 8 and Class 9 cleanrooms provide over 30,000 ft2 of cleanroom space allowing us to offer robust in-house solutions such as turnkey secondary operations like tipping, printing, punching, sub-assembly for catheters, plus device kitting.
Position Title: Packer Reports to: Secondary Operations Manager Site: High Performance Medical Solutions (HPMS) FLSA Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt Position Summary The Packer position ensures the efficient and accurate packaging of medical tubing and devices.
The Packer will inspect, prepare, packaging the medical devices according to the established quality standards and production guidelines.
This position requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Conduct visual and tactile inspections of medical tubing and devices to identify any defects, damages, or deviations from specifications.
Reject and report any non-conforming products to the appropriate personnel.
Properly and accurately package product into designated bags, containers, and/or boxes, following the prescribed packaging instructions and ensuring all necessary product information and labeling are correctly applied.
Properly complete paperwork and documentation related to packaging processes.
Maintain strict adherence to the company’s quality control procedures, packaging standards, and compliance with applicable regulations, such as ISO-13485 standards.
Collaborate with area supervisor, quality control personnel, and other team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of packaging tasks.
Troubleshoot packaging issues and assist in identifying the root cause of packaging defects or inefficiencies.
Provide input and suggestions for process improvements.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines, including safety protocols, WIs (Work Instructions), and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all packaging materials and equipment are stored properly and safely.
Participate in ongoing training sessions related to packaging procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Assist in training new team members as needed.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Complete and consolidate all PRL CSR requests as necessary.
Manage and enforce company policies related to CSR initiatives.
Qualifications Required Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision in a fast-paced environment.
Good Communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Previous experience in packaging or a manufacturing environment is preferred, especially within the medical device industry.
Knowledge of packaging materials, labeling requirements, and quality assurance principles is advantageous.
