The successful candidate must provide technical assistance and overall direction to a team of hourly represented employees.

This position of Operations Supervisor provides a platform to gain a working knowledge of various manufacturing environments and their relationships with other parts of Electric Boats' business.

Responsible to manage a crew of Sheet Metal Mechanics on new construction and Overhaul/Repair contracts.
Must have the ability to set, assign and measure daily production goals, provide technical expertise, instruct, mentor, and motivate the crew.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma or GED
A culmination of (5) five years Sheet Metal experience, consisting of education/training (i.
e.
Apprenticeship Program, Technical School, or AS/BS degree in any engineering discipline)
Preferred:
AS/BS/Technical School
Previous management experience
Skills:
Ability to read and understand blueprints, policies and procedures
Good organizational and communication skills
Ability to interact with various levels of employees in the organization
Demonstrated leadership skills
Must be able to work all shifts
Proficient with EWP, SWSS, 7G, ATA, and other EBC production computerized systems desired

Ability to adapt to challenges while remaining calm in a constantly changing working environment, all while remaining compliant to technical and procedural constraints
