We are currently seeking a Warehouse Team Lead to support our team in Chester, CT.
The Warehouse Team Lead provides superior customer value by accurately shipping and receiving product.
*MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES*
Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in day-to-day activities including:
* -Collaboration with Production, Customer Service and Supply Chain Management
* -Proper storage of material received from suppliers and production
* -Careful preparation of customer orders to ensure breakage-free shipments
* -Accurate and timely entry of all warehouse transactions in software systems
* -Operate forklift to pull orders, load and unload trucks (requires Roto licensing)
* -Help manage an accurate, revolving FIFO inventory and rigorously investigate any discrepancies.
* -Print delivery notes and schedule orders.
* -Coordinate with carriers to ship and receive product.
* -Complete all shipping paperwork required to send product from Roto.
* -Able to identify areas of waste and propose solutions.
* -Interface with customer service to support customer expedites.
* -Able to assign daily tasks to meet daily shipping / receiving metrics
* -Lead the team in the receiving process, pack and ship fulfillment, process, stock, damages.
* -Receive inventory into ERP system for stocking
* -Train others as needed
* -Ensure all personnel comprehend safety regulations according to OSHA regulations to include safety classes given weekly.
* -Maintain clean and safe work areas
* -Work overtime as required
* -Perform other duties as assigned
*JOB REQUIREMENTS*
* Proficient with warehouse software packages and MS Office; SAP is a plus
* Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
