As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for safely and punctually transporting students to and from school.

\*\*Safe Transportation:\*\* - Safely operate the assigned school transportation vehicle, ensuring the well-being of students during transit.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations, and adhere to established safety protocols.

\*\*Regular Maintenance:\*\* - Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly to the transportation supervisor.

\*\*Student Supervision:\*\* - Assist students in boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensuring a secure and organized process.
- Maintain discipline and order during transit, promoting a positive and respectful atmosphere among students.

\*\*Communication:\*\* - Maintain open and effective communication with school staff, parents, and transportation coordinators.
- Report any incidents, delays, or concerns promptly to the appropriate authorities.

\*\*Emergency Preparedness:\*\* - Be familiar with and follow emergency procedures, including evacuation drills, to ensure the safety of students in case of unforeseen situations.

\*\*Punctuality:\*\* - Adhere to a strict schedule to ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of students.
- Notify the transportation supervisor of any delays or issues that may impact the schedule.

\*\*Documentation:\*\* - Maintain accurate records, including attendance logs, mileage reports, and incident reports as required.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation in a timely manner.
\*\*Qualifications:\*\* - Valid Drivers license for min of 3 years, with appropriate endorsements (V endorsment) .
- Clean driving record and a commitment to adhering to traffic laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with children in a patient and caring manner.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Prior experience in school transportation or a similar role is preferred.
\*\*Working Conditions:\*\* This position typically involves morning and afternoon shifts, aligned with school hours.
Drivers may be required to work additional hours for field trips or other special events.
The role involves sitting for extended periods and requires the ability to assist students with varying needs.
