NELTS, Inc is a leading provider in Landscaping, Sweeping, & Snow Removal out of CT, RI, MA, NY, NJ, FL.
The Class A Truck Driver position will be required to load and unload a variety of heavy equipment apparatus, roll off containers, and different fill loads as they pertain to landscaping and snow removal.
Although they are dispatched where and when their load must arrive, it's up to the driver to plan and map the best route.
Truck drivers must be familiar with all traffic laws and safety requirements.
They must inspect and maintain all equipment, and report any mechanical issues with the truck to their supervisor.
These drivers must have the stamina to stay awake and alert while driving long distances.
Duties & Responsibilities:
General transportation of equipment, supplies, materials and debris to and from landscape, construction, and dump job sites.
Safe use of company vehicles and equipment.
Reliable to arrive to and from job sites in a timely manner.
Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Schedules vary and may include 5- or 6-day rotations as needed.
The length of a shift is determined by the assigned route, where some routes are longer than others.
Checking In & Out, DVIR, and routing completed using a mobile app.

Schedule:
10-12 hour shifts are common
Monday to Friday with weekend availability as needed
Early morning departures for most long hauls with overnight travel availability
Requirements:
Work Environment:
Commercial truck driving is physically demanding.
Not only must you be strong enough to load and unload cargo, but also be able to withstand the rigor of driving for long hours without a break.
Truck drivers must have a high degree of tolerance for solitude, since most work alone for long stretches of time.
Training and Certification:
CDL Class A License
DOT medical card
Clean driving record
Ability to pass a hearing and eye exam
Regulations require that truckers be able to hear a whisper from five (5) feet away without the use of a hearing aid
They must be in good physical health, and not have any conditions such as epilepsy, high blood pressure or any other disease or condition that would prevent them from successfully operating a truck over long distances.
Qualities and Experience Required:
18-Speed Peterbilt - 2 years
Transporting large equipment - 2 years
Transporting bulk material like sand, mulch, gravel, and salt - 2 years
Ability to safely operate payloaders and skid-steer equipment
Good communication skills
