Job Summary:
The Toddler Teacher plays a vital role in shaping the early learning experiences of toddlers.
You will create a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters exploration, discovery, and social-emotional growth for a group of young learners.
This position requires strong leadership, curriculum development skills, and a passion for nurturing young minds.
*Curriculum and Instruction:*
* Develop and implement developmentally-appropriate lesson plans that cater to the specific needs and interests of toddlers.
* Design and facilitate a variety of engaging activities that promote exploration, sensory play, language development, gross and fine motor skills, and social interaction.
* Ensure activities align with early childhood education standards and curriculum frameworks.
*Classroom Management:*
* Create a safe, secure, and well-organized learning environment that caters to the needs of toddlers.
* Establish clear and consistent routines and expectations to foster a sense of predictability and security for toddlers.
* Utilize positive reinforcement and redirection strategies to manage toddler behavior.
*Assessment and Development:*
* Observe and assess individual toddler development in all domains (social-emotional, cognitive, physical).
* Document progress through anecdotal notes, developmental checklists, and progress reports.
* Collaborate with parents/guardians to celebrate achievements and address any developmental concerns.
*Team Leadership and Collaboration:*
* Provide guidance and support to classroom assistants in creating a positive learning environment for toddlers.
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a holistic approach to each toddler's development.
* Foster open communication and teamwork within the classroom.
*Professionalism and Communication:*
* Stay current on best practices in early childhood education, particularly for toddlers, through professional development opportunities.
* Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents/guardians regarding daily routines, activities, and toddler development.
* Adhere to all school policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality
