Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Camp Counselors.
As a Camp Counselor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and create memorable experiences in a fun and engaging camp environment.
This is a paid position.
Duties:
- Supervise and ensure the safety of campers at all times
- Plan, organize, and lead various camp activities, including games, sports, arts and crafts, and team-building exercises
- Provide guidance and support to campers in their personal growth and development
- Foster a positive and inclusive camp culture that promotes respect, cooperation, and teamwork
- Assist with meal times, ensuring campers are following proper nutrition guidelines
- Collaborate with other camp staff to create a well-rounded and enjoyable camp experience for all participants
- Maintain accurate records of camper attendance, behavior, and any incidents that occur during the camp session
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare, daycare, or educational setting
- Strong behavior management skills to effectively handle challenging situations
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and techniques
- Ability to provide Christian counseling and guidance to campers (if applicable)
- Experience in special education or tutoring is a plus
- Sports coaching or theater experience is highly desirable
Requirements:
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred (training can be provided)
- Must pass a background check
